we can use derivatives in the function when we get measurable results in terms of numerical speculations such as in the exercises that we solved in the unit, in terms of daily life or work, an example is that we can know how much prices vary of a product in relation to the number of parts to be manufactured.
Or what would be the income of a hotel if a certain number of extra rooms were added .

We can also use it to see if it was appropriate to increase the production of a product and that profits would lower than costs.
